We live in worrying times indeed.

The Government are continually telling us, using the most ridiculous propaganda, that we should all worry:

• worry about Global Warming
• worry about the amount of CO2 we produce, because that causes Global Warming
• worry about the cars we drive, because big, fast cars produce more CO2
• worry that when we drive fast we produce more CO2 (and kill babies)
• worry that we are using up all the World's precious resources
• worry that unless we drive a Prius or a Citroen C1 diesel we will "kill the planet"

Well we say bollocks to all that angst-ridden, hand-wringing, "all men are rapists"-style self-flagellation. We say...

 

Having said that, in the dark of night, we do worry.

We worry that if they have their way this will mean the extinction of the cars we love, specifically those with great big, petrol slurping V8 engines supplying enough power to (and this is very important) the rear wheels so that they can perform lovely big, power-induced skids and burnouts.

Being very interested in conservation we feel we need to start campaigning to save this wonderful species from extinction. Remember the domino theory, once the V8 is gone your V6 will be next, then your faggy little 4 cylinder petrol car (as if you didn't have enough problems already). We need to draw a line in the sand before we see the death of the magnificence that is the petrol V8.
