Tony Crossley 1970-2011

It is with great regret that we bring the news that our good friend, and partner in shenanigans,Tony, lost his brave battle with cancer on Tuesday 27th July..

Tony had a passion for cars and racing and was someone who actually walked the walk, racing first his MGBGT and then later his monster RX7 in the Nippon series with some success. One of those people who irritatingly was so smooth you didn't realise how fast he was until you tried to keep up, he surprised many a 'faster' car.

Tony was with JustGoFaster in all it's incarnations from the very beginning where he was valued for his dry wit and stark frankness. You always knew where you stood with Mr C.

Tony leaves his wife Mandy and his children Josh and Emily. Our thoughts and condolences are with them at this time.

SAVE THE 'RING!

 

Anyone who is interested in cars and/or driving will know about the legendary Nurburgring Nordschleife and many of you will have visited to drive some tourist laps.

Some of you probably also know already that the recent local infrastructure developments have turned into a financial farce which could threaten the existence of the ’Ring as we know it.

 JustGoFaster? What’s that all about then?

Hmm, there’s a good question. The essence of JGF is to have a bit of fun without taking stuff too seriously. There are plenty of other websites that cover that aspect all too well.

 

 Why JGF? Well maybe it throws some light on our philosophy that the name arose when some earnest discussions regarding tyre pressures and brake compounds to shave those vital fractions of a second off trackday lap times were interrupted by a muttered “FFS, Just Go Faster” (which may or may not have been uttered in a Scots accent, that debate rages on…)

What does JGF offer? Well, the hub of the site is the forum where you can say/post what you like since we believe in freedom of speech. There is advice on what to buy (from JJ our resident reviewer), how to drive it and even our legendary excuses section for when you finally, inevitably realise that you are simply shit. Don’t despair however, you can always visit our SHOP and Buy Yourself Faster with merchandise which is 100% field tested by our good selves before release to the public.
